The enchanting Pumpelly Carriage House is a historic Georgian structure. The flow, charm and rustic setting tells your guests that you can think “outside the box” of traditional hotel banquet rooms. The Carriage House provides an elegant atmosphere with the perfect blend of tradition and charm while meeting the needs of today’s modern bride.
The small windows with antique glass filter rippled sunlight throughout the Carriage House. The large doors at either end of the Carriage House open to the gardens and lawn sloping to the Susquehanna River.
The Carriage House contains various areas for pre and post ceremony gatherings including the Lounge which invites your guests to sit back and relax on deep leather couches. The Taproom is available for beverage service and is transformed into a coffee bar for after dinner. The Carriage House Grand Hall serves as the main reception area for dinner and reception activities. Tables are always set with our fine linens, table service, glassware, and coordinated extras to complement your event’s theme. There is a designated area for your DJ, band or orchestra to set up in the Grand Hall. The open terrace and lawn glide to the Susquehanna River, providing a scenic, tranquil view for your outside enjoyment, while providing a historic and elegant setting. The Carriage House is handicap accessible and equipped with modern amenities, including ceiling fans to provide air circulation on warm summer afternoons, and is heated to take off the chill on cool summer evenings or for your fall or winter wedding. |
